Sam Rank
Associate, Team Leader

Team Leader Sam Rank works with the studio team to review construction documents and then direct construction of the built environment. He also supports the quality control processes for his studio. Sam serves as a client contact and collaborates with multi-disciplinary consultants by processing shop drawings, conducting regular site visits, and ensuring that construction complies with the design intent and specifications.

With over 14 years of architectural experience, including eight years at TMA, Sam has an extensive knowledge of New York City building and zoning codes and violations, having worked on workplace, hospitality, and healthcare facilities. Along with performing quality control reviews for his studio team, Sam can act as the final point of quality assessment for all drawings by other project teams, after they have been examined by the designated quality specialist for that team. Sam then works with Ted Moudis, R.A., for signing and sealing all company drawings before they are filed with the Department of Buildings. In addition to his technical knowledge, Sam can be counted on to make sound design-oriented decisions in the field when issues or unexpected circumstances occur.
