Ted Moudis Associates Wins IFMA Awards
(New York, NY, February 19, 2015) – On Thursday, January 29, 2015, the New York City Chapter of the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) honored Ted Moudis Associates (TMA) at the 2015 Awards for Excellence Dinner at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. IFMA, founded in 1980, is the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for facility management professionals, supporting more than 24,000 members in 94 countries.
IFMA awarded TMA the Award for Excellence for Distinguished Associate Corporation, which is given to an IFMA NYC Company in recognition of their participation in Chapter events. TMA, along with J.T. Magen & Company and WB Engineers+Consultants, was also honored with the Design & Construction of a New Facility (under 100,000 sq. ft.) award for the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) New York City Campus project. The award is given in recognition of an innovative design in the construction of a new facility or a “gut renovation” of an existing facility. Additionally, GIA won for LEED Certified Project, which is given to an IFMA NYC End-User member in recognition of their commitment to sustainability by achieving LEED Certification for a new construction project or the renovation of an existing facility.
Two of TMA’s key workplace strategy projects were also big winners. Credit Suisse and IPG Mediabrand’s Initiative were honored for the Workplace Innovation Award, which is given to a company for developing and implementing an innovative workplace concept that has had a major impact for their firm. For each company, TMA designed a non-territorial state-of-the-art workplace that empowers team members to choose where and how to work based on personal preferences and changing daily needs. Destination-style amenities such as cafés, lounges, and business gardens provide additional environments for people to collaborate and interact.
“We are honored to have our work recognized by our friends and colleagues at IFMA and we look forward to continuing to design world-class workspaces for our clients,” said Senior Principal Ted Moudis, AIA.
