Relocating to the 37,000 square foot top floor of a new waterfront office building in Hoboken, Sumitomo Trust and Banking wanted to take advantage of the panoramic 360-degree views afforded by the floor. In designing the space, which included private offices, conference rooms, a trading floor and accompanying support areas, Ted Moudis Associates used a neutral palate to create a refined understated space that seems to be suspended in the midst of the spectacular views. The design uses clean elegant lines with sophisticated finishes and materials to create an impression of a confidence and stability. The luminous elegance of the interior, from the glass office fronts to the warmth of the anigre millwork, make you feel as though you are floating in space, while the understatement of the design creates sophisticated frames that capture the world outside.
