Previously on Park Avenue, TMA was retained by this prestigious corporation to relocate their new corporate offices at 600 Third Avenue. Five floors were designed including an executive floor and four support floors. The facility includes a conference center with a boardroom and smaller individual conference rooms, a small trading area, a cafeteria as well as a tearoom on each floor. The client’s directive was a neutral color palette reflecting an American firm, but with Asian details. TMA interpreted the mix of cultures with a palette of rich textures and exotic grained woods. Lighting in the reception area includes recessed shoji-like panels that flank the reception desk. Each elevator lobby on the support floors has a unique design with similar details that follow through on each floor. The support floors are planned with 42” open plan workstations. Luxurious wall coverings in varying neutral colors are used throughout the support floors to delineate departments. The results are an elegant timeless design.
