Knight Capital Group is a leading financial services firm that provides comprehensive trade execution solutions and asset management services. The company wanted an open and transparent design for their new, four level, 150,000 square foot headquarters in Jersey City. The new offices include a trading floor, executive suite, conferencing center, open operational areas, data center and fitness center. TMAs’ design exudes elegance and sophistication and also encourages communication and flow. A connecting stairway was created from the reception area to the trading floor and uses a clear glass balustrade that runs along a travertine stone wall, creating the illusion of an elegant floating structure. A gracious reception area with a glass balcony and an executive suite with private offices are positioned with unobstructed views of the double-height tiered trading floor. Simultaneously, the materials and furnishings that fit out the room, as well as the rest of the facility, include figured woods, polished marble, bronze metal and classic furniture that temper a modern function with refined tradition.
