| A financial services group in Toronto, Ontario retained Ted Moudis Associates to design their new office space. The team created a warm and inviting reception and conference area that flows seamlessly into the open office environment. Walking off the elevator leads the visitor into the main reception, where the desk is accented by a cantilevered stone transaction counter and some privacy is created by the introduction of a tinted glass fin between the adjacent seating area. Open office planning consists of workstations along the perimeter, allowing natural light to penetrate into the core where communal spaces and offices fronted with clear glass define internal circulation. In order to provide interest and variety to the space, TMA introduced a unique design detail in both the ceiling and wall applications whereby a gypsum board accent was created to emphasize the rhythm created by the perimeter columns. The 3 dimensional rhythm along the ceiling and interior corridor create a dynamic space with varied ceiling and lighting applications. |
