Consolidating several separate facilities into one central 140,000 square foot floor at 111 Eighth Avenue, Wolters Kluwer was faced with many challenges. The firm turned to Ted Moudis Associates to develop a design that would turn this vast space, encompassing an entire city block, into a unified and cohesive facility. The critical planning challenge was to orient people and departments. This was accomplished through the use of several different color ways - creating a sense of place and familiarity as one moves about the floor. TMA’s design takes advantage of the abundant natural light and allows it to makes its way into the interior spaces through the creative use of elements that do not obstruct its path.
