| BMO retained Ted Moudis Associates to design their new trading floor along with offices for their Capital Markets division. The occupancy includes open office space that maximizes the requirements and efficiency of cubicles and private offices along with proximity and visual view of the open office with auxiliary requirements such as printer stations throughout the space which minimize travel distances. A central copy/mail/printer/supply room and a central pantry occur on each of the four floors which combine pass-through circulation along with usable space. For ease of way-finding along with future flexibility, TMA planned each floor similar in layout. The 37th floor is home to BMO's trading floor and 6,000 sq. ft. conference center, which is composed of 2 boardrooms and 2 medium-sized conference rooms. The remainder of the 37th floor is occupied by a state of the art trading room serving 140 traders, which sits on raised floor with customized lighting enjoying 360 degree view of the Chicago skyline. BMO's programming requirement includes two reception areas, one located on the 18th floor that serves the Capital Markets division, and a reception area located on the 37th floor, which serves the trading floor. The two reception areas are designed with the same architectural vocabulary in mind; however, the 37th floor takes advantage of high end materials, 12' ceiling heights accented with full-height wood doors, and impressive views of Chicago’s downtown and lakefront. |
