In order to suit their new offices at the Hyatt Center, Barclay’s Capital of Chicago called upon TMA to create a design that would reflect a high level of attention to detail, a trait that their previous locations had achieved with greatness. The client desired clean, sharp, unobtrusive details to reflect an air of modesty and refinement. TMA designers made many deliberate choices in order to convey this approach, beginning with a cohesive aesthetic in the Reception Area. The beautiful marble floor effortlessly aligns with the walls’ seams of wood and fabric-wrapped paneling. Moving forward, a subtle band of drywall creates an inconspicuous guide along the main path through the office. Throughout the Conferencing Space, Support Spaces, Data Centers and open office environment, pendant lighting aligns with each row of trading desks to evenly and softly distribute light. Due to Barclay’s strong relationships with various manufacturers, Workstations, Private Office glass fronts and specially-made colored carpet showcase a clever customization to those clients by utilizing their standards. By supporting Barclay’s desire for an immense attention to detail, the overall effect of the office space is one of clean, sharp, precise sophistication.
